Managing Local Sustainability: A Game Theoretic Analysis of Natural Resource Conservation
Abstract
dc:descriptionThis dissertation presents a model which is a continuous-time representation of a forested system. This system model is used to simulate the impacts of strategic behavior in managing lands in a local commons, on and around Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. The system model is also used in optimal control and game theoretic exercises. It provides optimal control and game theoretic solutions for short time periods, and policy simulations over longer planning horizons.
