Abstract
dc:descriptionThis dissertation analyzes: (1) the evolution of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta into a water supply and conveyance node for several water dependent areas in California; and (2) trends in land use within the Delta since 1920. These subjects are addressed within the context of the conservation and preservation resource management paradigms.
