Relationship of Pattern Element Emergence Between Two Locomotor Movement Patterns in Children (Development, Motor)
Abstract
dc:descriptionThe purpose of this study was to investigate the developmental sequence of pattern elements for two locomotor movement patterns, hopping forward and jumping forward, and the relationship between the sequential order of the elements for the two movement patterns. Video taped performances of 80 children, 2 years-6 months to 10 years-6 months, executing the movement patterns hopping forward and jumping forward were evaluated by the experimenter utilizing modified checklists to identify the extent of pattern elements present.
