Antiviral, Cytotoxic and Antimicrobial Compounds From Marine Sponges and Algae (Biological Activity)
Abstract
dc:descriptionThe antiviral and antimicrobial compounds sceptrin, oxysceptrin, bromosceptrin, debromosceptrin, dibromosceptrin and debromooxysceptrin have been isolated from the sponge Agelas mauritiana and their structures have been determined by spectroscopic means. Syntheses of model compounds for some of the structures assigned were also carried out.
