Health Planning in a Developing Country - the Case of Korea
Abstract
dc:descriptionThe review of Korea's general health conditions indicates that the health needs of a vast majority of the rural population remain unmet. Existing health policies and governmental infrastructure are ineffective. It is imperative, therefore, that Korea develop a national health program based on an analysis of the most efficient and cost-effective ways of serving those presently ill-served. The present research, using data for the rural population of Korea, attempts to make a quantative and qualitative analysis of possible designs for a health-service delivery system for these rural areas.
