Private Sector Training, Vocational Education, and Educational Policy
Abstract
dc:descriptionEducational policy is a complex endeavor, encompassing a loose conglomeration of public and private appendages. Difficulties are encountered in this field in part as a result of a lack of clear articulation of educational goals in a changing post-industrial society. This thesis is a descriptive and exploratory study of that vocational education and training which is related to the domain of the private sector (often called employer-provided training or private sector training), and its relationship to the education and work connection.
