Abstract

Rust of soybean (Glycine max), caused by Phakopsora pachyrhizi, is the most serious soybean disease in southeast Asia and Australia and is a potential threat in other soybean growing areas. Yield reductions from 30 to 50% are common. Twelve synonyms of P. pachyrhizi were reported on 87 hosts.
