The Development of Alfred North Whitehead's Philosophical and Educational Thought

The main purpose of the dissertation was to show the importance of Alfred North Whitehead's educational writings and how they are related to his metaphysical-cosmological writings. The dissertation makes the point that since Whitehead's educational writings originally appeared during the years spanning 1912-1922, Whitehead was thinking of comprehensive issues in philosophy earlier than is normally accepted by most Whiteheadian scholars. This indicates that a general relationship exists with respect to all of Whitehead's writings as opposed to the commonly held view that his writings represent three different periods of thought.
