Abstract
dc:descriptionThe problems of high-temperature spin dynamics have practical applications in the fields of nuclear magnetic resonance and inelastic neutron scattering. At the same time. those problems represent an important limit for the study of strongly interacting many-body systerns. In this thesis, we consider systems of interacting spins-both classical and quantum-and develop the quantitative theory of the time-dependent correlation functions characterizing the high temperature spin dynamics. The original results presented in this thesis include: (I) model-independent analysis of the long-time behavior of the correlation functions of interest, which reveals that that behavior has a universal functional form; (II) model for approximate calculations of the correlation functions of interest; (III) extensive simulations of the classical spin systems performed in order to test the long-time analysis and the approximation technique.
