Onion (Allium cepa L.) seed aging and plant regeneration in vitro
Abstract
dc:descriptionOnion seeds had cracks, and fungal infection was found over and inside the hilum and seed cracks. During storage dehydration and fungal infection may lead to membrane damage. Aged seeds had a high electrolyte leakage and encountered hydration stress which reduced seed germination and seedling vigor.
