A comparative analysis of the relationship between parent participation in educational activities in three child-parent centers and parental child-rearing attitudes and practices
Abstract
dc:descriptionThis case study concerns the relationship between parents' participation in educational activities in three urban child-parent centers of a public school system and the child-rearing attitudes and practices of the parents. Data were collected for nine months. The parents in each center were observed in several types of activities such as structured lecture groups, discussion groups, arts and crafts workshops geared to making educational materials for home and school use, and in community settings.
