Deep inelastic neutron scattering and single particle kinetic energies in condensed noble gases
Abstract
dc:descriptionSingle particle kinetic energies have been determined in solid and liquid neon and in several condensed noble gases by deep inelastic neutron scattering. The High Resolution Medium Energy Chopper Spectrometer at the Intense Pulsed Neutron Source at Argonne National Laboratory was used to measure the dynamic structure factor at values of the wave-vector transfer between 15 and 30 A$\sp{-1}$. Data have been analyzed with resolution techniques, and the single particle kinetic energies have been determined.
