An investigation of a collaborative meeting room supporting small group planning and decision-making

Abstract

dc:description

"The practice of planning in local communities, State or Federal agencies, or corporate environments requires planners to work together in group meetings. Prior research has shown the technology known as ""Groupware"" to be a plausible tool for facilitating collaborative behavior in groups. This study investigated whether Groupware can support the planning and decision-making activities (workplace meetings focused on actual task production) of small (3-15 individuals) groups of real-world professionals in a computerized collaborative meeting room."
