An annotated bibliography of the works for horn, voice and piano from 1830-1850 with an analysis of selected works from 1830-1986
Abstract
dc:descriptionThis dissertation is principally an annotated bibliography of the works for horn, voice and piano from 1830-1850 (Chapter II). The annotations of the songs include bibliographic references and other information about the composer, the song, and the origin of the copy of the song. Each annotation includes a description chart and comments which elaborate upon the song's characteristics and programmability: key, length, duration, voice type, difficulty level for each player and a musical quality rating. The difficulty levels are IV--Easy, V--Medium, and VI--Difficult. The musical quality ratings are I--Poor, II--Below Average, III--Average, IV--Above Average and V--Superior. An incipit of the opening of the song and the first few measures of the entrance of the voice is included.
