Abstract
dc:descriptionThe marketability of Illinois coal is severely limited by its high sulfur content. Burning high sulfur coal produces corrosion and pollution problems. Illinois No.6 coal, in particular, contains a high percentage of organic sulfur. Organic sulfur cannot be removed by physical means.
