A review of the construct and concurrent validity of the Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale adapted

Abstract

dc:description

Based upon Bandura's (1977) concept of self-efficacy expectations, Taylor and Betz (1983) constructed the Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale (CDMSE) to measure self-efficacy expectations related to 50 career decision-making tasks. They hypothesized that individuals with low self-efficacy would avoid tasks necessary to make career decisions and those with high self-efficacy would approach tasks.
