Abstract
dc:descriptionI. Three kinds of monoclonal antibodies have been found against iodopsin and other cone pigments in chicken retina: (1) specifically against iodopsin (cell line of 7D3); (2) against iodopsin and another cone pigment (cell lines of 2D4, 4G2, and 5E3); and (3) against iodopsin and other three cone pigments (cell line of 2C3). One dimensional immunoblottings show that apparent molecular weight of iodopsin is about 32 kD and apparent molecular weights of other three cone pigments are about 29 kD, 31 kD, and 35 kD. Two dimensional immunoblottings show that iodopsin (and probably for the other cone pigments too) has a high isoelectric point value.
