Abstract
dc:descriptionThe purpose of this study was twofold: (1) to examine the kinds of strategies that ESL learners used when dealing with CALL exercises, the types of CALL exercises and the subject areas that are perceived to be helpful to learners, and (2) to determine what differences, if any, existed in the use of strategies between low- and high-proficiency learners, and their perceptions of the relative helpfulness of the types of exercises and subject areas presented in CALL programs.
