The application of computer-based information systems to urban planning and public policy making
Abstract
dc:descriptionThis research attempts to provide a clear vision of urban information systems, particularly the application of information systems to planning and public policy making. The development of an expert system combined with mathematical models for effective planning and public policy making is the main theme of this study, which reviews the past and current uses of computers for planning and policy making, from data processing systems to expert systems integrated with optimization modeling techniques.
