Coherency matrices for characterization of vector optical fields

Abstract

dc:description

We describe optical coherency matrices as a generalized method for characterizing the statistical properties of optical fields. We then use this formalism to classify optical fields, in terms of separability, and transfer of entropy between multiple degrees of freedom.
