Self-esteem and Body Image Changes in Adolescents After Scarring Surgery

<p>The objectives of this study are to determine:<br> 1. How self—esteem in adolescents changes over time when interrupted by a surgical procedure that causes visible scarring.<br> 2. How body image in adolescents changes over time when interrupted by a surgical procedure that causes visible scarring.<br> 3. How the relationship of body image and self-esteem change over the course of surgical intervention.<br> 4. The relationship of self-esteem and body image changes and their relationship to other variables such as age, sex and choice to have surgery.</p>
