Abstract
[EN] The objectives of this thesis are: - Learn about the evolution of patients diagnosed with achalasia, as has been treated with botulinum toxin injection, pneumatic dilation or surgery. - Evaluate the potential response to treatments in clinical terms, manometric and radiological barium transit through. - To compare the efficacy of different therapeutic strategies. - To establish the involvement of proinflammatory cytokines (IL-6, IL-4, TNFa), nitric oxide synthase, endothelin-1 and PPAR (Peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma) in the etiopathogenesis of achalasia and its association with the form presentation or dela disease evolution.
