Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis project presents the design and development of a web-based self-service portal, My Pages, for dk Hugbúnaður ehf. The objective was to address the challenges of a fragmented system landscape by designing a unified platform that provides company administrators with a clear overview and centralized access to services and information. The solution also functions as a self-service portal for end users, enabling them to access hosted environments, track support requests, and consult guidance and documentation. The project followed an agile Scrum methodology and included requirements gathering through stakeholder interviews and a customer survey with 236 responses. The findings highlighted a strong demand for increased self-service functionality, improved transparency, and reduced reliance on manual support, which informed the prioritization of system requirements. The system was developed using a modern technology stack, including a React and TypeScript frontend and a .NET-based backend integrated within dk’s system architecture. Key features include authentication, invoice and subscription management, user and permission control, and support request tracking. The resulting solution improves usability and establishes a scalable foundation for future development and enhanced digital service delivery.
