Abstract
dc:description.abstract
This collection of poems and hybrid lyric essays explores the links between ancestral history and the natural world. As femmes and woman, much of our history had been lost in violence and war. Much of it is undocumented, untranslated, footnoted. However, the natural world, the land and plants of our ancestors have witnessed humanity for centuries. These poems and essays attempt to reconnect to these natural bodies. These poems and essays recover and discover history that can be channeled through writing and research and collecting experiences with these plants and landscapes that have witnessed our joy and suffering and magic and erasure.
