Investigating the Relationship Between Verifying Feedback and Loneliness: A Social Exchange Perspective

<p>This research explores the relationship between loneliness and verifying feedback, both of which are associated with relationship dissatisfaction. Loneliness is an experience caused by relationship dissatisfaction, and the absence of verifying feedback can contribute to relationship dissatisfaction. Thus, it was hypothesized that loneliness and verifying feedback are positively related. Surveys measuring loneliness and verifying feedback were administered to 79 college students. Results confirmed the hypothesis as a significant positive correlation between loneliness and verifying feedback was observed.</p>
