Attitudes of Kindergarten Teachers Toward Teaching Methods and Practices in Kindergarten

This study was conducted to determine the attitudes of kindergarten teachers toward teaching methods and practices in kindergarten. A questionnaire focusing on common teaching methods and practices in kindergarten was completed by fifty kindergarten teachers. Information was also requested dealing with years of teaching experience and courses in early childhood education. Results showed that kindergarten teachers consider activities associated with a developmental curriculum to be more important than activities associated with an academic curriculum.
