Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis outlines the various techniques for creating electronic 3D displays and analyzes their commercial potential. The thesis argues for the use of view-sequential techniques in the design of 3D displays based on considerations of state of the art 3D displays and currently available technology. A view-sequential 3D display was built, which is described in detail. The performance of this display is given, as well as an analysis which characterizes its anticipated performance and comparison with measured results.
