A comparative analysis of capital accumulation in two Peruvian sheep associative enterprises : factors enhancing and restricting their development

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

Objectives: The general objective of the thesis is to determine which of these two types of associative enterprises, confronting similar conditions such as market, production, and government policies, is in better position to undertake the process of capitalist development(3), meeting at the same time the social goals characteristic of each form of production. A comparative analysis of these two forms of production will be made to determine which factors enhance or restrict 1) their process of capital accumulation and 2) the accomplishment of their specific social goals. The principal objective of this thesis is to determine the variables that affect the capitalist development of associative forms of production. In this sense four hypothesized variables will be analyzed: 1. Capital accumulation, 2. Income generation, 3. Participation, 4. Identification. Other objectives are to determine the conflicts that exist within each form of production and how they affect the levels of capital accumulation and incane generation. The final objective is to establish which factor are important in the development of cooperative forms of production, and which type of cooperative is most capable of capital accumulation and accanplishment of social goals simultaneously.
