Estudio de prefactibilidad para la instalación de una planta productora de biol a partir del estiércol de cuy

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

Agriculture is one of the main sources of food production and for the generation of food, chemical inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides or insecticides are mainly used, which encourage the growth and protection of plants; however, they generate a negative impact on the environment and people's health. In 2018, in Peru, the use of chemical fertilizers generated more than one thousand five hundred giga grams of CO2eq while the cultivation of organic soils generated only seventeen giga grams, a significant difference when evaluating the impact generated by these products. Also, currently, consumers are more concerned about healthy eating, based on organic food, and to meet the demand, inputs that allow agriculture to be environmentally friendly and productivity to be efficient must be used. This can be done with the application of organic fertilizers in agriculture. One of the organic fertilizers is biol, a liquid fertilizer made through an anaerobic fermentation process, that is, in the absence of oxygen, from a mixture of mainly manure, water, milk and sugar in a biodigester cylinder. The use of guinea pig manure is recommended because it contains more of the main nutrients for crops, such as nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorous, than manure from other animals such as cows, pigs, or horses. The target market will be oriented towards farmers in the city of Chimbote in Ancash, a location that has the conditions and resources that allow the biol production process to be efficient and make the project profitable. The product demand at the end of the project will be 89 133 liters. The area allocated for the plant is 726 square meters. The project investment is 643 801 soles. Of this amount, 350 000 soles will be externally financed at an effective annual rate of 12,35% and the rest will be covered by the shareholders with an opportunity cost of capital COK of 18,97%. The economic NPV of the project is 480 781,25 soles and an economic IRR of 38,76%. The financial NPV of the project is 946 899,51 soles and a financial IRR of 81,1%. The payback period is approximately three years and 4,82 soles of added value will be obtained for each sol invested in the project. The results of the project show viability considering the market, technology, economic, financial and environmental points of view.
