Abstract
dc:description.abstractNowadays, different investigations have made visible the increase of work stress in employees and its negative effects on health, being important the identification of associated factors. In this context, it is recognized that leadership plays a crucial role in organizations. For this reason, the objective of this research is to identify the relationship between leadership and work stress in organizations through the review of scientific articles that studied these two variables. A systematic search was conducted, following the guidelines of the PRISMA guide (Page et al., 2021) in the Scopus, Ebsco, Web of Science and ProQuest databases, selecting 10 research studies that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings showed that there is a relationship between leadership and work stress, which may be direct or inverse depending on the leader's style or behaviors. In addition, leadership moderates the effects of job stress on other variables. Future research should consider recent world events and other leadership styles not studied in this research.
