Digital Literacy in the Workplace Begins in School: A Research Study on Digital Information Literacy Pedagogies for FYC Classrooms

<p>This paper sets out to answer the following research questions:</p> <ol> <li>How can instructors take students’ current digital literacy knowledge and work them into a curriculum designed to help them build their digital information skills?</li> <li>How can instructors teach digital information in a way that gives students the ability to adapt their skills into different environments and growing technologies to better prepare them for the workplace?</li> </ol> <p>By looking at the current state of student research and comparing techniques to professional writing situations by looking at skills, such as communication and critical thinking, that employers want the most. </p>
