ΟΙ ΣΥΝΕΠΕΙΕΣ ΤΗΣ ΕΚΦΡΑΣΗΣ ΤΗΣ ΠΡΩΤΕΙΝΗΣ Ρ21 ΓΟΝΙΔΙΑΚΟΥ ΠΡΟΙΟΝΤΟΣ ΤΟΥ ΟΓΚΟΓΟΝΙΔΙΟΥ Η-RAS1 ΚΑΤΑ ΤΗΝ ΚΑΡΚΙΝΟΓΕΝΕΣΗ
Abstract
dc:descriptionIN THE PRESENT STUDY WAS ESTABLISHED A MODEL SYSTEM TO DETECT THE PRESENCE OF RAS P21 IN THE SERA OF BALB/C MICE CARRYING TUMOURS INDUCED BY MOUSE CELL-LINE TRANSFORMED BY THE HA-MUSV AND THE PRESENCE OF F-MLUV BY ELISA TEST. THE ELAVATED LEVELS OF RAS P21 WAS EXAMINED IN THE SERA OF CANCER PATIENTS ALSO. ONLY IN 3OUT OF 13 CASES REPRESENTING PATIENTS WITH STOMACH ADENOCARCINOMAS WAS RAS P21WAS DETECTED. ALSO WERE INVESTIGATED MIXED CULTURES OF NORMAL EARLY PASSAGE BALB/C EMBRYO CELLS AND BALB/C 3T3 CELLS TRANSFORMED BY THE HUMAN T24 H-RAS ONCOGENE. THE PRESENCE OF AN EXCESS OF NORMAL CELLS COULD SUPPRESS THE PHENOTYPE OF TRANSFORMED CELLS IN VITRO. A SIMILAR TYPE OF SUPPRESSION BY NORMAL CELLS COULDBE SHOWN IN VIVO IN TUMOURS INDUCED BY BALB/C 3T3 RAS TRANSFORMED CELLS.
