ΣΥΜΒΟΛΗ ΣΤΟ ΠΡΟΒΛΗΜΑ ΤΗΣ ΔΙΑΦΟΡΙΚΗΣ ΠΕΡΙΣΤΡΟΦΗΣ ΕΝΟΣ ΛΕΥΚΟΥ ΝΑΝΟΥ ΜΕ ΑΝΑΠΤΥΞΗ ΚΑΙ ΕΦΑΡΜΟΓΗ ΘΕΩΡΙΩΝ ΔΙΑΤΑΡΑΧΗΣ
Abstract
dc:descriptionTHIS THESIS REPRESENTS A THEORETICAL STUDY OF AN EITHER UNIFORM OR NONUNIFORM ROTATION OF A COMPLETELY DEGENERATE ELECTRON GAS CONTINUUM, FORMING A WHITE DWAR. THE AIM OF CHAPTER 1 IS TO SPECIFY THE STRUCTURE DIFFERENTIALLY ROTATING WHITE DWARF BY EXTENDING CHANDRASEKHAR'S METHOD TO INCLUDE UP TO THIRD ORDER TERMS IN THE ROTATIONAL PERTURBATION PARAMETER. IN CHAPTERS II AND III WE OBTAIN NUMERICAL RESULTS THAT PERMIT US THE DETERMINATION OF THE WHITE DWARF STRUCTURE FORUNIFORM ROTATION AND FOR A WEAK, MEDIUM, OR EVEN STRONG DIFFERENTIAL ROTATION.THE RESULTS OBTAINED BY A BOTH SIMPLE AND TIME-SAVING TECHNIQUE ARE THEN COMPARED TO THOSE OF PREVIOUS INVESTIGATIONS, AND THEY ARE FOUND TO BE IN AGREEMENT WITH THEM. THE AIM OF CHAPTER IV IS TO DETERMINE THE STRUCTURE OF A DIFFERENTIALLY ROTATING MAGNETIC WHITE DWARF BY EXTENDING CHANDRASEKHAR'S METHOD TO INCLUDE UP TO SECOND ORDER TERMS IN BOTH THE ROTATIONAL AND THE MAGNETIC PERTURBATIONPARAMETERS. IN CHAPTER V, WE OBTAIN NUMERICAL RESULTS THAT PERMIT US THE DETERMINATION OF THE WHITE DWARF STRUCTURE FOR UNIFORM ROTATION AND FOR A WEAK, MEDIUM OR EVEN STRONG DIFFERENTIAL ROTATION, IN THE PRESENCE OF AN EITHER WEAK OR STRONG MAGNETIC FIELD.
