ΦΑΣΜΑΤΟΣΚΟΠΙΚΗ ΜΕΛΕΤΗ ΑΕΡΙΩΝ ΣΥΜΠΛΟΚΩΝ ΣΕ ΥΨΗΛΕΣ ΘΕΡΜΟΚΡΑΣΙΕΣ ΣΕ ΣΥΣΤΗΜΑΤΑ ΧΛΩΡΙΟΥΧΩΝ ΑΛΑΤΩΝ ΤΩΝ ΣΙΔΗΡΟΥ, ΧΡΥΣΟΥ ΚΑΙ ΑΛΟΥΜΙΝΙΟΥ
Abstract
dc:descriptionRAMAN SPECTROSCOPY AND UV-VIS ABSORPTION SPECTROPHOTOMETRY HAVE BEEN USED IN ORDER TO STUDY TWO COLORED VAPORS SYSTEMS, THOSE OF IRON (III) CHLORIDE-ALUMINUM CHLORIDE AND GOLD (III) CHLORIDE- ALUMINUM CHLORIDE. IN BOTH SYSTEMS, COMPLEX MOLECULES ARE FORMED IN THE VAPOR PHASE. THE TECHNIC OF HIGH TEMPERATURE ROTATING RAMAN CELL WAS DEVELOPED AND USED IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO OBTAIN RAMAN SPECTRAFROM THE COLORED VAPORS. IN THIS WAY THE EFFECTS OF "LASER INDUCED DISSOCIATION" LEADING TO SOLID DEPOSITION ON THE CELL WALLS AND DUE TO THE LASER BEAM ABSORPTION FROM THE COLORED VAPORS WERE DEMINISHED. IN THE IRON (III) CHLORIDE-ALUMINUM CHLORIDE SYSTEM, THE VIBRATIONAL FREQUENCIES OF THE FE2CL6(9), FECL3(9) AND FEA MOLECULES WERE MEASURED FROM THE RAMAN SPECTRA. VIBRATIONAL ANALYSIS WAS PERFORMED FOR THE ABOVE MOLECULES BY MEANS OF "NORMAL COORDINATE ANALYSIS". THETHERMODYNAMIC FUNCTIONS OF ALL THE VAPOR SPECIES WERE CALCULATED, BASED ON THESPECTROSCOPIC DATA, IN THE FORM OF JANAF TYPE TABLES. IN THE GOLD (III) CHLORIDE-ALUMINUM CHLORIDE SYSTEM, THE VAPOR PRESSURE OF AUCL3 AND THE THERMODYNAMICSOF THE COMPLEX AUALCL6(9) FORMATION WERE DETERMINED BY UV-VIS ABSORPTION MEASUREMENTS. THE VIBRATIONAL FREQUENCIES OF THE AU2CL6(9) AND AUALCL6(9) VAPOR MOLECULES WERE MEASURED FROM RESONANCE RAMAN SPECTRA. VIBRATIONAL ANALYSIS WAS PERFORMED FOR BOTH MOLECULES AND THE THERMODYNAMIC FUNCTIONS OF THE SAME VAPOR SPECIES WERE CALCULATED IN THE FORM OF JANAF TYPE TABLES.
