ΕΞΟΜΟΙΩΣΗ ΡΟΙΚΟΥ ΠΕΔΙΟΥ ΑΞΟΝΟΣΥΜΜΕΤΡΙΚΩΝ ΣΩΜΑΤΩΝ ΣΕ ΘΑΛΑΜΟ ΜΕΤΡΗΣΕΩΝ ΑΕΡΟΣΗΡΑΓΓΑΣ
Abstract
dc:descriptionSTUDY OF THE CALCULATION OF THE SUBCRITICAL FLOW-FIELD AROUND AXISYMMETRIC BODYWITHIN A WORKING SECTION OF A RECTANGULAR CROSS SECTION AND TO THE SIMULATION OF THE UNCONFINED FLOW PATTERN APPLYING THE CONTOURED WALL TECHNIQUE FOR THE MINIMIZATION OF THE WALL INTERFERENCE. THE CONFINED AND POTENTIAL FLOWFIELD ANALYSIS IS BASED ON THE LINEARISED COMPRESSIBLE FLOW THEORY AND THE METHOD OF IMAGES. THE SUPPORT SYSTEM IS OF A STING TYPE AND IT IS MODELED IN THE SAME WAY AS THE BODY AND THUS IT IS CONSIDERED AS AN EXTENSION OF THE BODY IN THE LIMITS OF THE TEST SECTION. THE VISCOUS EFFECT CAUSES AN INCREASE OF THE TUNNEL BLOCKAGE RATIO AND IT IS INTRODUCED INTO THE CALCULATION SCHEME BY MEANS OF AN ADDITIONAL PRESSURE GRADIENT. THE BOUNDARY LAYER DEVELOPMENT ON THE MODEL SURFACE AND THE TUNNEL WALLS IS CALCULATED APPLYING ROTTA'S INTEGRAL METHOD AND WHEN BOUNDARYLAYER SEPARATION IS DETECTED A WELL TESTED SEMI-EMPIRICAL METHOD IS USED. THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE CALCULATION METHOD ARE COMPARED WITH THE CORRESPONDING DERIVED FROM A PANEL METHOD AS WELL AS WITH EXPERIMENTAL SIGNATURES FOR VARIOUS AXISYMMETRIC BODIES WHICH MAY BE CONSIDERED AS REFERENCE. THE TWO DIMENSIONAL WALL ADAPTATION IS REFERED TO THE TWO OPPOSITE TUNNEL WALLS CONTOURING IN A MANNER TO OBTAIN A SHAPE THAT RESEMBLES THE STREAM SURFACES FOR UNCONFINED FLOW.FOR THE PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF THE WALL ADAPTATION, A CALCULATION OF THE WALL INTERFERENCE FROM WALL PRESSURE MEASUREMENTS IS STUDIED TOO. THE PROPOSED WALL ADAPTATION IS VERIFIED EXPERIMENTALLY WITHIN A TEST SECTION WITH CONTOURED WALLS OF FIXED GEOMETRY FOR AN OGIVE-CYLINDER BODY AT MACH O.7.
