dc:descriptionTHE MAIN SCOPE OF THE PRESENT DISSERTATION WAS THE EXTENSIVE KINETIC STUDY OF ENZYMATIC SYSTEMS USING BILE ACIDS AS SUBSTRATES AND ITS APPLICATION FOR THE DETERMINATION OF BILE ACIDS ARE BASED ON THE SPECIFIC OXIDATION OF THEIR HYDROXYL GROUPS BY NICOTINAMIDE ADENINE DINUCLEOTIDE (B-NAD+) OR BY B-NADP+ IN THE PRESENCE OF HYDROXYSTEROID DEHYDROGENASES (HSD) AND ON THE FLUORIMETRIC MONITORING OF THE PRODUCED NADH OR NADPH. THE PRESENT DISSERTATION CONTRIBUTES TO THE EXTENSION OF OUR KNOWLEDGE ENZYMATIC SYSTEM OF HSD WITH B-NAD+ AND B-NADP+ USING BILE ACIDS AS SUBSTRATES AND SUPPORTS THE USE OF BILE ACIDS AS USEFUL DIAGNOSTIC AND THERAPEUTIC AGENTS IN ROUTINE CLINICAL ANALYSIS AND RESEARCH.
