ΑΡΙΘΜΗΤΙΚΗ ΜΕΛΕΤΗ ΤΗΣ ΤΡΙΔΙΑΣΤΑΤΗΣ ΠΑΡΑΚΤΙΑΣ ΚΥΚΛΟΦΟΡΙΑΣ ΜΕ ΑΛΓΕΒΡΙΚΟΥΣ ΜΕΤΑΣΧΗΜΑΤΙΣΜΟΥΣ
Abstract
dc:descriptionTHE COVERNING EQUATIONS AND BOUNDARY CONDITIONS DESCRIBING THE COASTAL HYDRODYNAMIC WIND-INDUCED CIRCULATION ARE PRESENTED. A SHEARING ALGEBRAIC TRANSFORMATION IS INTRODUCED FOR NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF THE MATHEMATICAL MODEL, WHICH IS CREATING A BOUNDARY FITTED CURVILINEAR COORDINATE SYSTEM. THE EQUATIONS AND BOUNDARY CONDITIONS OF QUASI-HORIZONTAL HYDRODYNAMIC CIRCULATION ARE TRANSFORMED TO THE CURVILINEAR SYSTEM. A FINITE-VOLUME (ALGEBRAIC TRANSFORMATIONS+FINITE DIFFERENCES) NUMERICAL SCHEME DEVELOPED TO SOLVE THE THREE-DIMENSIONAL AND TWO-DIMENSIONAL MODELS. THE VERACITY OF THE MODEL IS CHECKED BY ITS APPLICATION TO A SIMPLIFIED FLOW DOMAIN AND TO THESSALONIKI BAY AND WITH COMPARISON WITH IN-SITU MEASUREMENTS AND RESULTS OF OTHER ALGORITHMS.
