ΑΝΑΠΤΥΞΗ ΤΕΧΝΙΚΩΝ ΓΙΑ ΤΗ ΒΕΛΤΙΩΣΗ ΤΗΣ ΠΟΙΟΤΗΤΑΣ ΤΩΝ ΔΙΣΚΙΩΝ ΚΑΙ ΤΗΝ ΑΠΟΔΕΣΜΕΥΣΗΦΑΡΜΑΚΩΝ ΑΠΟ ΕΠΙΚΑΛΥΜΜΕΝΕΣ ΣΤΕΡΕΕΣ ΦΑΡΜΑΚΟΤΕΧΝΙΚΕΣ ΜΟΡΦΕΣ
Abstract
dc:descriptionTHE DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNIQUES WHICH WERE DESIGNED (A) TO ELIMINATE TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES ENCOUNTERED DURING DIRECT COMPRESSION AND (B) TO CONSTRUCT A NEW AQUEOUS FILM COATING SYSTEM ABLE TO IMPROVE TABLET QUALITY AND TO CONTROL THE RATE OF DRUG RELEASE HAS BEEN DESCRIBED. THE DATA PRESENTED INDICATED THAT (I) BORON ALLOY COATING OF TOOLS (PUCHES AND DIE) OF A TABLETING MACHINE DECREASEDTHE EJECTION FORCE REQUIREMENT AND IMPROVED TABLET QUALITY, (II) A NEW AQUEOUS SYSTEM CONSISTED OF AGAROSE, MICROCRYSTALLINE CELLULOSE, HYDROXY- PROPYL METHYL-CELLULOSE (H.P.M.C) AND PEG-1000 YIELDS A MECHANICALLY STRONG, FLEXIBLE FILM THAT ATTACH ONTO THE SURFACE OF THE TABLETS. CRITICAL EVALUATION OF THE FREE FILMS REVEALED THAT SUCH FILMS ABSORB LIMITED AMOUNT OF MOISTURE AND EXIBIT A LOW RATE OF WATER VAPOR PERMEABILITY. THE NEWLY CONSTRUCTED FILM ALLOWS THE INCORPORATION AND RELEASE OF DRUGS (INDOMETHACIN, PHENYL-PROPANOLAMINE-HCL, PREDNISOLONE) DEPENDENT OR INDEPENDENT ON THE PH OF THE ENVIRONMENT.
