Η επίδραση της χρόνιας χορήγησης αζαθειοπρίνης στην οστική πλήρωση του μετεξακτικού φατνίου: πειραματική μελέτη σε λευκούς επίμυς

The purpose of this investigation was to study the pharmacologic, action of azathioprine on the bone healing of the postextraction socket. The material of this study composed of 79 male rats from ourproduction. At the beginning of the experiment the rats weighed 121-125g and were 45-50 days old. They were separated in two groups. The experimental group consisted of 41 rats and the control group consis-· ted of 38 rats. Azathioprine was given to the experimental group per os daily with a special syringe in a dose of 20mg/kg body weigh. Saline solution was given to the control animals at the same quantity and with the same special syringe. Five days after the beginning of the experiment the first upper left molar was extracted. The animals were sacrificed 35 days after the tooth extraction. The maxilla was resected and processed for histological study. Histometric study showed statistical 1ly significant difference between the osseous tissue that filled the postextraction socket and the osseous tissue of the area next to the socket, in both the experimental group and the control group. Difference of the osseous tissue of the experimental group and the control group was not found. The wound healing prosses was continuing after the 35th postextraction day in both groups.
