Unemployment and Government Effectiveness across European Countries: Impact and Implications of BRI

<p>This paper studies the European countries in an economic and political analysis context. Moreover, as a win-win institution, Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is an excellent opportunity for China and European countries. Therefore, the paper will specifically analyze what factors could affect the EU's unemployment rate, government effectiveness index, and BRI effects on European countries. China is the EU's second-largest trading partner. At the same time, the EU has been China's top trading associate for a decade. China and the EU signed the "Deepen the China-EU Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Mutual Benefit and Win-Win Cooperation" in 2014, which means that China and the EU are willing to cooperate closely. Notably, BRI could be an occasion to research. Therefore, this paper includes two main parts, which are the economic and the political aspects. The report will use economic growth as a dependent variable to analyze what factors could affect European countries' unemployment rate under the economic aspect. The data will include all European countries and the year from 2007 to 2019. Consequently, the paper will use the government efficiency index as a dependent variable for the political scope.</p>
