Hur påverkar elektrifieringskrav, drivna av EU-politik och stora transportköpare, små åkeriers konkurrensförutsättningar i den svenska logistikkedjan

This thesis examines how electrification requirements, mainly driven by EU legislation and major transport buyers, affect the competitiveness of small hauliers in the Swedish logistics chain. The study uses a qualitative research design based on document analysis and semi-structured interviews with small hauliers, a larger transport logistics company and an industry representative. The findings show that electrification requirements are oftentimes experienced as indirect rather than as clear legal demands. They are in practice mainly mediated through customers, public procurement, major transport buyers and broader demands for fossil-free or low emission transport. Small hauliers face particular challenges due to high investment costs, uncertain payback period, limits of infrastructure, reduced flexibility in some transport operations and difficulties passing additional costs on to customers. The study concludes that electrification is not only a technological transition but also a change in competitive conditions. Continued competitiveness depends on clearer cost distributions, stronger willingness to pay and accessible support systems. The report is written in Swedish.
