High-Throughput Profilometric Screening of Corrosion Inhibitors and Molecular Structure Effects on Magnesium Alloy Protection
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis presents a promising approach for the rapid screening of corrosion inhibitors for Mg and its alloys by combining high-throughput experimentation with profilometric analysis. Using aromatic carboxylates and 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylate (2,6-PDC) as representative examples, the study explores how functional groups influence the corrosion inhibition mechanisms of Mg alloys. Insights into the relationship between molecular structure and inhibition performance can guide the selection and design of effective corrosion inhibitors tailored for specific environmental conditions.
