Stressing Leadership, Spirituality and Legacy. A Purpose-Driven Approach to Sustainable Business Longevity

This study attempts to bring out not only the notion of business longevity in terms of its temporal dimension but the impact it leaves to every stakeholder- to every person that continually builds the company and for those for which the company has been created. One of Kurt Lewin's most famous aphorisms is “there is nothing so practical as a good theory”. But that was only half of his message, this study also supports the other part, that “nothing contributes more to good theory than practice”. The common keyword that connects every chapter is founded on the purpose-driven approach to business longevity. Purpose defined as an aspirational reason for being that is grounded in humanity and inspires a call to action. The three stand-alone papers on leadership, spirituality and legacy depict the three-dimensional approach to longevity and knowledge — from principles, to concepts, to praxis.
