Romaria, festa e turismo: relações entre nativos e romeiros na festa de Nossa Senhora das Vitórias em Carnaúba dos Dantas (Rio Grande do Norte)
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis study aimed to reflect on social relationships and interrelationships among the natives - present and absent - and visitors - pilgrims - in the city of Carnauba dos Dantas, a the state of Rio Grande do Norte, from the festivities held in honor of Our Lady of Victories, saint, whose image is located on the Mount of the Rooster, established as a religious space. The main pillar got the party, the pilgrimage, tourism and trade carried out on site as well as relations between the natives and visitors actors that are established from the contact between them. This work seeks to understand the nuances and interrelations established between the categories of actors, whether natives or visitors from the space share, during the festivities of Our Lady of Victories year 2013. The analysis showed that natives and pilgrims adjust to the poor infrastructure of the place. The festival also brings the city its absent natives and with them other celebrations. Finally, the space division of the party caused by these groups points to some places and rituals that have been transformed from the particular experiences of these agents in time of the party.
