Ensinando com estratégias função exponencial.

The exponential function is an important content of mathematics that should be taught in the classroom for all students, because their applications develop the intellectual reasoning, thinking it was so necessary a reflective study about the difficulty of learning this content. In this perspective, we note that there is difficulty learning in teaching exponential function in the classroom, interfering with the development of skills and cognitive reasoning, abstract and concrete students in solving problems that involve your study. For this it was necessary to perform a literature search in order to know the views of scholars and researchers in this area. In addition, we conducted a field survey in order to know the teachers’ conceptions of mathematics concerning the study of the exponential function and its advantages to student learning. To conduct field research and data collection were used questionnaires with students and teachers, and to verify the performance of students of 1st year of high school, problem solving, where were proposed, at first, problem situations to be resolved without teaching strategies and the second time with teaching strategies and then present an analysis of student performance in both situations.
