Luta pela terra e pela sobrevivência na terra na microrregião de Sapé-PB: O assentamento zumbi dos palmares e o protagonismo dos jovens.

The objective of the work is to study the fight for land in the microregion of Sapé-PB, highlighting the case of Rural settlement Zumbi dos Palmares, which emphasizes the role of young people in its construction/consolidation. This away, the search area is the N microregion of Sapé-PB and in her the Settlement Zumbi dos Palmares, located in the municipality of Mari-PB. The study it based in a literature review, in the secondary data collection and field research. The settlement was created from a fight of occupation supported by MST. Nowadays are 85 families settled and agricultural organization is geared towards the production of food. Young people, as a general rule, help parents in agriculture. It is not clear the role of youth in building / consolidation of the settlement in addition to helping working parents. Some young people try to organize a collective activity, but have not achieved compliance. We conclude that it is not enough merely distributing land to the implementation of agrarian reform and to ensure youth participation in the struggle for the consolidation of the settlements. It is important to state action through public political, civil society organizations and social movements in order to motivate youth to participate in activities that will ensure the reproduction of the peasantry in the areas of agrarian reform.
