Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis study aimed to determine the threonine requirement for japanese quails fed diets containing threonine levels keeping the relationship amino acids: lysine constant. Treatments consisted of a diet formulated with corn and soybean meal supplemented with amino acids L-Lysine industrial, DL-Methionine, L-Tryptophan, L-Arginine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine to meet the requirements nutrition for Japanese quails. The relationships amino acids: lysine was 70, 19, 126, 92, 90 and 78% for methionine + cystine, tryptophan, arginine, valine, isoleucine and threonine, respectively. The variables evaluated were: feed intake (g / bird / day), egg production (%), egg weight (g), egg mass (g / bird / day), conversion per egg mass (kg / kg ) and per dozen eggs (kg / dz), weight (g) and percentage (%) of yolk, albumen and shell, shell thickness (mm), Haugh units, specific gravity (g/cm3). It was determined that the threonine requirement for Japanese quails is 0.793% or 200 mg / bird / day, compared with 78% in constant respectively.
