Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis work provides a detailed description of an analog-to-digital converter system. Using components like a successive approximation converter, its main goal is to report a complete, simple, didactic and objective description of the procedures that were part of its development. From the constant observation, checking and simulation of the source code, and always looking for comparisons with similar work, other A/D converters and supporting material, the description was naturally taking shape, discussing about the system’s units, and how they interact to reach the expected results. A brief presentation of the elements required to obtain a complete understanding of it was reported, and then this understanding could be easier to readers. Future works can be evaluated and implemented, considering, for example, the way the data’s capture from external signals is done, always paying attention to improve the used techniques, without forgetting the most acceptable and effective technology to update the system
