Análise do Empreendimento Carrefour como polo gerador de tráfego no Bairro Jardim São Paulo – João Pessoa/PB.

Deploying Polos Traffic Generators usually comes to successful impacts in several areas surrounding the project, mainly in road circulation. The increased volume of traffic on the roads surrounding the polo traffic generator, reduces service levels airway, resulting in congestion, increased travel time of people, rising operational costs of vehicles, eterioration of the environment and buildings by increased visual pollution, noise and air, and also compromises the safety of vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians, increasing the number of traffic accidents. This study aimed to analyze the enterprise as Carrefour Polo Traffic Generator in the Jardim São Paulo in the city of João Pessoa. Such an enterprise is housed in one of the busiest avenues of the capital, characterized by high traffic flow especially in peak hours. Because it is a large enterprise that produces or attracts large numbers of travel, causing negative effects on road circulation in its immediate surroundings and, in some cases, damaging the accessibility of the entire region and aggravate the conditions of vehicle safety and pedestrians, is characterized by the National Traffic Department as Polo Traffic Generator. During the study it is clear that despite all the inconvenience arising from the construction and installation of an enterprise the size of Carrefour; characterized as a traffic generator pole, in an already very busy avenue, the project also contributes so indirect distribution of local traffic.
