Ocupação urbana e degradação ambiental na comunidade casa branca – Bayeux/PB: uma abordagem geográfica.

The environmental problems in urban inserted have aroused some concern in recent times, mainly because they constitute so gradual and accelerated, since these usually come from the human action, end up unbalance the relationship between Man and Nature. The metropolitan areas through its cities have attracted a high number of population in the search for jobs, housing, services and even leisure. On the other hand, the absence of public policies aggregated sometimes the lack of areas for housing increases housing deficit, which impairs the absorption of this tariff. From these facts, the population ends up occupying areas inadequate housing, as well as the preservation and riparian areas, thus causing environmental degradation. The object of this work was to study the Casa Branca Community, located in the Bayeux. Community socioeconomic questionnaires were applied and from these created a Geographic Information System in order to assist in the decision-making process in order to identify solutions and minimize the problems encountered in the Community and stabilize the relation Community × Environment. Therefore, this work through its final considerations, we propose some guidelines as well as the regularization, the aid in preparation of studies and development projects directed the recovery of degraded areas, with a view to balancing Nature × Society.
